Armenian Wedding in Venice | Julie & Adam
Also this time I had the privilege of being able to tell a story of love and different cultures with a beautiful Armenian Wedding in Venice.
This is the story of Julie and Adam who arrived in the beautiful city of Venice to crown their dream on the island of San Lazzaro of the Armenians together with their closest friends and even with the president of Armenia.
This small island in the lagoon is now occupied by the monastery of Armenian monks of the order of the Mekhitarists who settled here in 1717.
Initially the island was home to a community of Benedictines, then a leper house and accommodation for the sick and the poor.
Since the eighteenth century, therefore, the island has hosted one of the most important Armenian communities of our country, preserving its impressive cultural heritage collected and produced over the decades.
Julie and Adam have prepared themselves in a splendid room of the Metropole just opposite the island of San Giorgio.
The groom and the guests left first with taxis to reach the place of the ceremony, while Julie was accompanied by her father and sister.
The ceremony, rich in many symbols, was very special and touching.
After the ceremony we took some photos in this beautiful location before returning to the Bauer Hotel for a fantastic dinner on the terrace right in front of the Salute church.
During the speedboat ride, between smiles and hugs, the new couple could admire a magnificent sunset in the Venice lagoon.
Surely through images they will always remember these special moments!
It was truly an interesting experience to be able to live an Armenian Wedding in Venice.
